DAILY FROM 10:00AM TO 12 NOON
Under the direction of Skating Director Donna Smith, Summer on Ice is taught by Skatetown’s professional staff and focuses on a variety of disciplines over the course of a one-week camp. The suggested skating level to attend camp is Freestyle 1-6 or by recommendation of your instructor. The camp provides concentrated instruction on specific skills and techniques - such as:
- Footwork, Spins & Jumps, Couples/Pairs, Power Skating, Harness Work, Choreography & LOTS more!
Why offer a one-week camp in the summer? During the traditional fall and winter competitive season, in-depth and new skill development is often compromised when the focus is placed on perfecting competitive routines. Summer offers a skater the time to emphasize personal growth through exposure to new moves and techniques. Our goal during the camp is to maximize a skater’s current skills, show safe and proper conditioning techniques, develop stamina and expose them to new moves, all while having fun and making new skating friends.
